After an exceptionally long wait, our clinic is now open, and we are happy to be able to offer our services. Although we would love to see everyone as soon as we can, we are working on limited hours and resources. Home Care will not be available for the time being.Your health and well being are important to us, as such we have been diligently following recommendations and guidelines provided by --- and will continue to take the necessary precautions to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our staff.
DURING YOUR VISIT
We have enhanced our already comprehensive sanitary procedures within our clinic to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition to our efforts, each patient entering our clinic is required to:
Wear a protective face mask. If you do not have one, one will be provided to you at your visit for a small fee.
Perform a temporal screening to ensure that your body temperature is below 38 degrees Celsius.
Arrive at each appointment alone to help us practice social distancing and to help maintain a limited amount of people in the clinic.
If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to stay home until you are feeling well. If you are (or have been exposed to someone) exhibiting flu-like symptoms (i.e., cough, fever, shortness of breath), please call to reschedule your appointment once you are feeling well.
CHANGES AND UPDATES TO OUR PROCEDURES
We are taking the following steps to ensure a safe and positive experience at our clinic:
Virtual Telehealth Care
Virtual appointments will be offered and encouraged when appropriate to reduce the number of patients at the clinic.
Our clinicians will be working in scheduled shifts to significantly reduce the number of staff and patients in the clinic at one time.
Patients will be screened before their appointment using the COVID-19 Patient Screening Questions provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health. Patients who screen positive will be required to reschedule their appointment 14 or more days from their original appointment date. All staff are screened daily before their shift.
Modified Appointment Procedures
Patients are required to attend their appointment alone unless they are a minor or require a guardian due to a disability. If a guardian is needed, they will also need to be screened by phone call prior to the appointment.
Patients must arrive promptly at their scheduled appointment time as our waiting room is closed. Upon arrival, the patient will be directed into a private treatment room. All appointments will be one-on-one in a private treatment room. Gym & equipment?
Hand Hygiene & Infection Control
Hand sanitizer will be available at multiple locations around the clinic. All patients are required to wash their hands upon entry into the clinic. Hand hygiene will be also be performed by all clinicians upon entry into a treatment room as well as before/after contact with a patient. Service areas and equipment will be cleaned with enhanced disinfecting agents after each patient. Linens will be laundered after each patient. Signage will be displayed throughout the clinic to ensure proper infection control and physical distancing.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All staff are required to wear a mask. Masks will be changed daily or sooner if they become contaminated. Clinicians in close contact with patients will wear vinyl gloves. Gloves will be discarded after each patient. In cases where a patient is unable to wear a mask, the clinician will wear protective eyewear.
Patients are required to wear a well-fitted mask in the clinic. Cotton is acceptable. Patients that are not able to bring a clean mask from home will be asked to purchase a disposable surgical mask at the front desk. The fee for each mask will be $2.00.
A germ guard is set up at the front desk. Cashless or no-contact methods of payment are preferred when possible. We are happy to provide Interac Tap and e-transfer options. Digital copies of home exercise programs, receipts and reports will be provided when possible.
PLEASE NOTE: You are important to us, and we are doing everything possible to protect our patients and staff. If you feel that there is anything we can do differently to enhance your experience, please contact us at email@example.com
